marigold murphy is a sweet girl. she's sunshine, puppies, rainbows, and flowers personified. marigold is intelligent, but shy about it, and tries hard to see the best in people. she tends to be too trusting and, on occasion, is manipulated or walked all over because of it. marigold moved to hope city at the age of fourteen, almost immediately after her powers manifested, because her parents thought it best that they avoid family and friends, at least until marigold got control of her persuasion ability. her parents were understanding, accepting - but they knew there was a certain danger in marigold's powers if she turned out to be irresponsible or mean-hearted as she grew up. she matured to quite the opposite, actually; she's painfully responsible, especially when it comes to her powers. in fact, she avoids using them unless it's totally necessary. in this fight against crime, people might peg her for someone neutral, so unwilling she is to exert her power over people, but she's most definitely a good guy, and she has a reason. it's not something too dramatic: only that her parents, who ran a quaint little flower shop - which was their means of living - were driven out by too-powerful mob members, left poor and desolate. they're healthy and living with family, but marigold remains to at least try to help people that are suffering the same way her parents did. that, and there are people like her in hope city - people with powers - and she doesn't want to lose that camaraderie. oh also, she goes to the university. so there's that as well.
let's get into relationship specifics, shall we? for friends: marigold is a nice girl, really easy to get along with, and it's hard to get on her bad side, so she's likely to have a lot of friends. it would be nice if there were a little group that she's been friends with for a while, maybe for the entire five years she's been living in hope city, and preferably people with abilities as well. other than that, she'll be friends with other good guys, most likely, looking to some for guidance since she's still a little unsure about her powers. she wouldn't fault anyone for being neutral in this whole thing, she's so close to being neutral herself, and she would, no doubt, be sympathetic towards someone whose allegiance is complicated. moving on to enemies: marigold is hardly pleased by the amount of crime in hope city. she doesn't like the mob bosses that have taken over, the dirty cops that cater to those bosses' every need. it upsets her to see so many innocent people made victims by these power-hungry groups, and wants it to stop. anyone that is part of or supports the crime infesting the city is going to be her enemy, simple as that. i doubt the girl's ever made a personal enemy in her entire life, because she's so mild, so i think just general enemies because of allegiance are all that apply. unless you think of something super creative, which i'd appreciate! for lovers: it would be easy for marigold to make someone lover her; her power of persuasion, if she willed it, would serve to manipulate any man into doting on her. of course, she would never do that; she feels guilty even when using her power is absolutely necessary, let alone for something as vain as all that. but still, the fact that she has this ability has sort of ruined her for love; in her experience (which consists of a whole two guys), once her significant other finds out about her ability, he begins to question her honesty. how can he be sure that he really has feelings for her? how can he tell whether or not she's manipulating him? so she has some serious issues in her love life and would have to overcome them. it's likely she'd be attracted to a nice guy, anyway. she's too sweet to really go for a 'bad boy'.
so that's marigold! i know that's super long and stuff, but eh. you need to know her before you plot with her, y/n? if you're interested in having any kind of relationship with marigold, just reply here and let me know your ideas, and we'll discuss it! don't be shyyyy, i love to plot. <3 also, if you have any questions you can totally PM me, or IM me!

DIESSSSKAY & MARIGOLD Daisuke is a rather social fellow; he likes to reach out to people, and has lived in Hope City his whole life. SO. If he ever ran into Marigold in the city, like in a coffee shop or waiting in line to hit an ATM, he'd try to strike up a conversation. She seems like the type of lady who'd be a little timid, esp. after having to move to a new city to deal with having a terrible mutant power that is totally in a complete moral gray zone, and Daisuke would be the kind of fellow who would reach out and try to give her something to be cheery about. And with him being a rather perky and insane fellow, and Marigold being super easy to befriend, they would probably hit it off well enough to get to be friendsies. Possibly mooooaaaar, but I don't know! It's probably a possibility. Just saying!
So how does that sound? It's not very in-depth yet, but I'd personally like to play out them meeting and getting to roll around; I think that would be the most fun.

daisuke & marigold
n'awww, daisuke is so lovely. <3 I APPROVE OF WHAT'S BEEN WRITTEN HERE. you're right, she would be timid when first meeting someone, but she's super trusting so it wouldn't be too long before she opened up to him, especially if he's making a sincere effort to befriend her and be nice and stuff! because there aren't nearly enough nice people in hope city, marigold thinks. and in all the violence and craziness that's going on (which marigold is still DDD: about being a part of) it would be nice for her to have someone to go to who's outside of it all, especially someone who can remind her to smile and be happy. SOUNDS GREAT. do let's get them to meet and have a wonderful time. and if it develops into moooooaaaaar... well, WE SHALL SEE.
